- There will be no International Paragliding World Cup Championship at Billing this year, as the state government has expressed its inability to host the event owing to Covid-19 crisis. Most of the foreign pilots are unable to come to Bir Billing, as limited international flights are operating. Moreover, Indian pilots have also not expressed interest in participating in the event. The international event is hosted in October or November every year in Bir Billing. The international event is organised jointly by the Tourism Department and the SDM, Baijnath, who is also the chairman, Special Area Development Authority (SADA), Bir Billing.
- Shree Cement Company will provide cement bags free of cost to the families of soldiers, who were martyred between January 1, 1999, and January 1, 2020, to construct their houses up to the maximum covered area of 4,000 sq ft.
- Jagriti Thakur, a research scholar of Dr YS Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni, has been presented the Fertilizer Association of India (FAI) Golden Jubilee Award for doctoral research in fertilizer usage.
